Most gorilla trekking experiences in Uganda occur in two protected parks:

Your journey begins early in the morning with a briefing from park rangers who explain safety guidelines and trekking procedures. Small groups are then guided into the forest to search for a specific gorilla family.
Treks can take 2 to 6 hours, depending on where the gorillas are located that day. Once the gorillas are found, visitors are allowed to spend one magical hour observing them.
